SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND ANTIPROLIFERATIVE ACTIVITY OF THE PALLADIUM(II) COMPLEXES WITH THIAZOLE/TRIAZOLE CARBALDEHYDE THIOSEMICARBAZONES LIGANDS

Activity: Talk or presentationOral presentation

Description

New palladium(II) bis-chelate Pd(L1-3)2 (1-3) complexes with thiazole/triazole carbaldehyde thiosemicarbazone derivatives were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and FTIR, ESI-Mass and NMR (1H, 13C) spectroscopy. The structure of complex 3 was determined by X-ray crystallography. The palladium(II) complexes were found to exhibit much higher inhibitory effects (IC50= < 1.67 – 16.63 µΜ) than their ligands (IC50= 42.90 – > 855.0 µΜ) on the HuTu80, DU145 and HT29 lines. The complex Pd(L3)2 was more cytotoxic (CI50 = < 1.67 - 5.52 μM) than the other tested palladium(II) complexes against all the human tumor cell lines.
