Description
Earthquake Resistant Engineering is a theoretical-practical course. Its purpose is to develop in the student the ability to seismically analyze and design buildings of various materials considering current regulations. Its results contribute to the development of skills to apply engineering designs to produce solutions that meet specific needs considering public health, safety and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental and economic factors.Throughout the course, the following thematic axes are developed: seismology and seismic risk, dynamic analysis of systems with one degree of freedom, seismic response of systems with several degrees of freedom, and seismic resistant structural criteria.
