Description
Probability and Applied Statistics is a theoretical-practical course. Its purpose is to facilitate knowledge for the application of data analysis methods and techniques, and probabilistic and linear regression models, to engineering case studies, using statistical software and/or digital tools. Its results contribute to the development of skills to identify, formulate and solve problems of data analysis and calculation of probabilities applying principles of science and mathematics.Throughout the course the following thematic axes are developed: distribution of statistical data and summary measures, notions of probability calculation, probability distribution of random variables and vectors, and simple and multiple linear regression.
