Description
Materials Technology is a theoretical-practical course. Its purpose is to impart fundamental knowledge of materials science and engineering, especially the properties and applications of materials used in the construction industry. Its results contribute to the development of skills to apply engineering designs in the production of solutions. that meet specific needs considering health, safety and general well-being.Throughout the course, the following thematic axes are developed: structure and properties of materials; tests, standards, manufacturing technologies; life cycle and environmental sustainability. The different groups of materials are studied: metals and their alloys; ceramics, aggregates and glass; polymers; compounds; and other special materials such as electronics and nanomaterials.
