organization profile

The Digital Manufacturing Study Circle (Cefadi) explores digital manufacturing tools through the development of projects at different scales and with various technologies, such as 3D printing, 3D scanning, laser cutting and CNC cutting. The projects are carried out using the machines located in the Digital Manufacturing Laboratory (Fab Lab Ulima) of the Industrial Engineering Degree. In this way, interdisciplinary learning is promoted by integrating students and teachers from different careers. In addition, permanent contact is established with the global network of digital manufacturing laboratories (fab labs) by making guided visits to the laboratories located in Lima and maintaining digital contact with others from abroad, in order to learn from their processes and advances in research.
