The Automatic Control and Advanced Technologies Study Circle (CECATA) is an internal body of the University of Lima made up of students and advisory teachers interested in modern technologies for data acquisition, automation and process control.

The circle creates an environment to exercise creativity, develop innovative ideas and concepts, participate in support activities for industrial automation teachers who do research, as well as develop projects to participate in national and international events and competitions.

The main activities are focused on the instrumental acquisition of data, the supervision and control of processes as well as the integration of production systems. There are also ideas for developing technological art. It is also hoped that the Circle can be an incubator of ideas for future entrepreneurship.
