Organization profile

The Lean Manufacturing  Study Circle (CELM) of the University of Lima, is made up of a group of students committed to strengthening the culture of quality and increasing productivity in the community in general in accordance with modern trends in production systems .

The Circle has the following objectives:

  • Train students at the University of Lima in solid theoretical concepts about Lean Manufacturing tools that help to achieve competitiveness in organizations.
  • Complement the theoretical knowledge with visits to organizations that apply Lean Manufacturing tools and thus to demonstrate the theory put into practice.
  • Participate in research projects developed with university professors.
  • Disseminate topics related to lean manufacturing tools among university students through forums, discussions, and seminars.
  • Be part of the ASQ Study Circle network. Dissemination of the work of the circle as a case that reflects the application of some good practice or advantages of Lean Manufacturing tools in the media available to the university.
