Alejandra Acevedo is a Colombian-Peruvian architect with a master's degree in science focused on housing from the National University of Engineering in Peru, with a thesis distinguished by its Summa Cum Laude rating. She is a co-author of the Catalog of Modern Movement Architecture in Peru and serves as the principal investigator at the Institute of Scientific Research (IDIC), where she leads the research group "City, Landscape, and Heritage."

Furthermore, she works as a professor at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Lima and coordinates the UNESCO Chair at the Faculty of Architecture. She is pursuing a doctorate at the Urban Metabolism Laboratory of the Catholic University of Louvain, having been awarded a scholarship by the Academy of Research and Higher Education (ARES). Her research focuses on the evaluation of urban metabolism and its application in food security in informal settlements.
