Project Details

Description

This project is part of the global research network Worlds of Journalism Study (hereinafter WoJS) whose main objective is to study the current state of journalism. It is currently in the preparatory phase of its third round of field work to begin in 2020. In this sense, the present project aims to prepare the conditions for the participation of Peru in the global project in order to subsequently carry out the survey. global. As a research question, we asked ourselves about the current state of Peruvian journalism in comparison with its regional peers. Thus, the general objective of this first stage of the framework project is to establish a baseline of the operating conditions of journalism, both at the national and regional levels. As specific objectives we propose the following study variables: the organizational nature of journalistic media groups, diversification in news media, platforms and news programs; professional human resources, their exercise modalities and evolution of their work routines.
