Description
The objective of this research is to analyze the impact that COVID-19 has had on the labor income of Peruvian workers according to educational level, sex, work formality and place of residence. For this, the National Household Survey is used to estimate a fixed effects panel data model with instrumental variables. The results indicate that COVID-19 has been a homogeneous shock since it has affected the entire Peruvian labor market; However, this shock has had heterogeneous effects due to the fact that it is the people with the lowest educational level, men and workers in the informal sector where labor income has decreased to a greater extent due to the effect of COVID-19.
