Project Details
Description
According to figures from the Ministry of Environment (Minam), the country barely recycles 4% of the seven million tons of waste it produces each year. Solid waste management in Peru, and in particular in Lima, remains one of the most urgent problems of the municipalities; In particular, the informal management of the separation and recovery of inorganic waste and its recycling stand out. The objective of this research is to know the effect that stakeholders (local governments, NGOs, recyclers) can generate in the behavior of separating solid waste in Lima homes, to better guide public policy actions in the search to capture the largest amount of waste suitable for reuse.
