Project Details
Description
One way to prevent chronic diseases is to promote healthy lifestyles. Taking into account that the behaviors of parents influence the behavior of children, this research will evaluate the impact of messages that seek to reduce the consumption of sweet or savory snacks, and increase the practice of the walk of thirty minutes daily . The study will be applied to 200 overweight / obese parents of schoolchildren. For this, messages will be designed and evaluated experimentally in a laboratory in order to observe their impact on heart rate and behavioral predictors. As a result, messages with a high probability of positive impact on the promotion of healthy lifestyles will be identified.
