Kids Online Peru. Digital practices, opportunities and risks from the perspective of Peruvian children and adolescents

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The investigation, initiated in April 2018, is part of the international Kids Online project. Identify the practices that occur in the interaction of children and adolescents with internet and digital media. These constitute, from the perspective of those involved, opportunities or risks according to the positive or negative consequences on their well-being and their exercise of rights. The evidence collected is expected to serve as an input to propose public policies in charge of the sectors involved - education, transportation and communications, women and vulnerable populations, and justice. Once the first phase of the project is finished, this year the quantitative component will be implemented, which will allow a broad overview of the situation of Peruvian children and adolescents and their digital practices.
