Project Details
Description
This research aims to investigate the use that young people of Lima give to the smartphone when it comes to enjoying free time. A qualitative study will be carried out to identify consumption habits and describe their particularities (frequencies, spaces and interests) based on the relationship established between the device, content and user. It will be especially important to identify the constants and variants that can be registered, understanding, along the same lines of Bourdieu, that people from a homogeneous social environment tend to share similar lifestyles, since their resources, strategies and ways of assessing the world are similar . This proposal is based on the findings of the work carried out in 2018, “In search of the digital viewer. Consumption in deferred and second screens ”.
