Project Details
Description
This research aims to analyze the impact of political messages from populist and extremist courts on social networks Facebook and Twitter, among young voters in the city of Lima. The proposal is based on the fact that, according to recent research, these networks are an ideal platform to disseminate biased and false information due to their high degree of virality. It seeks to identify through surveys, using the “monopoly of truth” methodology, if among the contents created by ordinary citizens and political supporters, those of the political spectrum of extreme left or right predominate, as well as evidence of the phenomenon of post-truth and the degree of virality that, in contrast, can acquire the discourses of both extremes.
