SIG and remote sensing techniques to assess vulnerability and seismic risk in urban areas

Project: Research

Project Details

There is a strong and intrinsic connection between the most modern geomatic methodologies and emergency management. The integrated development of these two fields of modern engineering is mutually useful, as they create the virtuous synergy that a country like Peru should look for. As a general objective, the investigation has been proposed to demonstrate how, with consolidated geomatic techniques, it is possible to extract information of considerable interest for the estimation of the parameters that will be included in the vulnerability models. The estimate will be improved by searching for additional databases and a more accurate calibration of all the parameters used. In order to better understand the contribution of geomatic techniques, the project will distinguish the phases that will characterize the intervention of all responsible organizations.
