Abstract
© 2019 Universidad de Murcia Servicio de Publicaciones. All rights reserved. Baladas peruanas by Manuel González Prada is an antecedent of Canto general (1950) because it emphasizes the American cosmogony, the defense of the indigenous and the polyacroasis in the field of Hispanic American poetry. González Prada and Neruda are two intellectuals committed to an anticolonialist perspective and interested in the history of Latin America.
