Abstract
This second edition has been carefully revised and improved in its eight chapters. The first three deal with hydrostatics and hydrodynamics. In addition, measurement items and workshop tools are described. The machine tools, as a central topic, are reviewed in the fourth, fifth and sixth chapters: the lathe for the manufacture of shafts, the milling machine for carving surfaces, gears and guides, and the column drill for complementary machining. Chapter seven teaches how to select and recognize the different materials of manufacture and the measurement of hardness. In its last chapter, the book presents welding technology applied in industry. At the end of each chapter exercises and application examples have been included.
