Abstract
Collision plasma rotation and magnetic islands in the Tokamak Chauffage Alfvén Brésilien (TCABR) tokamak were studied using Doppler shift measurements of spectral lines of carbon impurities. A set of 22 Mirnov coils displaced circularly around the plasma at a radius of 19.5 cm was used to perform the measurements. The magnetic island rotation velocity near the plasma edge, measured by the Mirnov probes with data obtained by spectroscopy was compared. The radial profile of the radial electric field was calculated using the experimental results for the radial profiles of plasma poloidal and toroidal rotation velocities.
