Abstract
Apsychometric analysis of a questionnaire on Asssesment ofAnxiety towards Examination Problems was developed in the scope ofTest's Classical Theory. The study aimed at satisfying the need for psychometrically adequate and valid instruments for the Peruvian reality,in order to make possible to generate research and interventions on a problematic affecting many persons-among them, many students-who,because of the high competition current demands coming from our society must submit themselves to assessments which, in some cases, produce not always adaptive emotional response problems, such as the evaluation anxiety. High total and area reliabilities for the instrument were calculated. The item's discriminant capacity was also determined, and two of them were considered as requiring a revision to increase their discriminant capacity. As far as the construct validity was concemed, the factor analysis with a varimax rotation could not replicate the expected four dimensions. More studies with oblique rotations are required under the presumed dependency between the assessed factors. (Rev Psicol Herediana 2008;3 (1-2):1-11)
