Abstract

This research work focuses on analyzing how the implementation of management tools can contribute to improving delivery times in a company in the logistics sector. The study company presented an average delivery time of 3.15 days, compared to the standard of 3 days. This is caused by incorrect distribution of products (64.72%), non-standardized processes (22.58%) and defective products (12.9%). To reduce the impact of the problem, TQM, Standard Work and the sweep method will be used, which will reduce delivery times by 33%. These results were validated using the Arena simulator, thus giving a final average of 2.12 days in terms of delivery time. Likewise, the investment for the proposed model would be 14,930 PEN, and the financial analysis shows that the project is profitable since the IRR (45%) is greater than the COK (15.62%) and has a positive NPV. It can be concluded that the initial proposal positively impacts the company's results.
