Abstract
This research proposes the concept of educational digital recycling, defined as a way to recover and transform teaching practices and didactic resources from other epochs to introduce them in a new cycle of life more related to the new generations. In addition, research systematizes and analyzes the process of creation, development and validation of a mathematical game inspired on Inca abacus. The research results support the idea that educational digital recycling is an appropriate strategy for the transition moment we live, where we can still glimpse the future without losing sight of the past.
