Abstract

The following presentation indicates the ideological repertoire utilized by generations of Latin American political ideologists during the first decades of the 20th century, whose objectives were to fight against the North American imperialism. Distinguished among these, is Argentinian Manuel Ugarte (1875) and Peruvian Víctor Raul Haya de la Torre (1895), whose work has corresponded through two generations, those of 1900 and 1918. Furthermore, both authors apply their ideological repertoire to the problem of Peru, Chile, and Bolivia that relates to the situation in the provinces of Tacna and Arica, which lasted until the signing of the Tratado de Lima of 1929, and Bolivia's landlocked status. Referring to Bolivia's landlocked status are the works of apristas leaders Rómulo Meneses Medina and Manuel Seoane Corrales.
