Abstract
The poetry of Efraín Miranda represents the subjectivity of the Andean man and the Amerindian culture. It belongs among the poets of the 1950s in Peru. Based on the contributions of Antonio Cornejo Polar and Angel Rama, the article places Miranda in the Peruvian poetic tradition and then analyzes some of his most representative texts to study linguistic and cultural discrimination in schools through the imposition of the Western cultures on the Andean cultures.
