METAFICCIÓN HISTORIOGRÁFICA, AUTORREPRESENTACIÓN Y GÉNERO EN LA TRAMPA DE MAGDA PORTAL

Producción científica: Contribución a una revistaArtículo (Contribución a Revista)revisión exhaustiva

Resumen

The article examines the novel La trampa by Magda Portal (1900-1989) —originally published in 1957 and republished with some changes in 1982—, in which the author reconstructs through fiction the time in which she began as a political activist and co-founder of the APRA party. The narrative strategies that contribute to the autobiographical reinvention in the character of Mariel —an alter ego of Portal— are analyzed, the way in which the events of the historical period represented are fictionalized, as well as the prison experience of both hers and that of her coreligionists. Finally, the subordination of women within the party in relation to its male leaders —the “jefe” and the Alto Comando—, and their situation in the society at the time is explored.
