Prensa y transición en el Perú post Fujimori

Producción científica: Contribución a una revistaArtículo (Contribución a Revista)revisión exhaustiva

Resumen

This article describes and debates the events that lead, from the point of view of journalistic practice, to the change from an authoritarian regime to one that is more open and competitive. The results from this analysis points out that the first challenge for journalism was an external one, which is to become different from the others and establish among them different strategies to be able to produce information. The next step was to develop and consolidate a more investigative press in order to weaken the regime. Despite the achievements, Peru is still a weak democracy, something that opens many questions about the role of journalism in the consolidation of democratic systems.
